About the Country Groups
In 2024 the Europeana Initiative launched a national Country Groups pilot to bring together Europeana Network Association members, aggregators and other professionals to take the lead in national cooperation across the common European data space for cultural heritage. The pilot ran in Bulgaria, Italy, and Slovenia, and we are excited to now formally establish the Country Group in Italy.
Our goal is to create a vibrant, collaborative hub that strengthens the presence of Europeana in Italy and fosters innovation by building the capacity of GLAMs to expand the reach and visibility of their collections through the common European data space for cultural heritage. To achieve this, we want the group to be truly representative of our diverse and talented ENA members.
Why join the Country Group?
We have already laid out a roadmap with several ambitious plans and ideas, but we believe that the best projects are built through collective intelligence. We are looking for passionate members who want to:
- Contribute to the strategic development of Europeana in Italy.
- Share innovative ideas to increase the impact of digital cultural heritage.
- Collaborate on local and international initiatives.
Your voice matters
We are not just looking for participants; we are looking for collaborators. Whether you have a specific project in mind or want to suggest new ways to engage the Italian professional community, we want to hear from you. Your insights will be crucial in making this Country Group a reference point for the entire sector.
