5Dculture delivered high-quality 3D content related to fashion, archaeology and architecture to the common European data space for cultural heritage. The project enabled the reuse of this content through, for example, the creation of an engaging and immersive museum experience for fashion heritage.
The project facilitated the management, enrichment and reuse of 3D content. It also deployed a series of digital technologies and tools which used relevant AI and semantic technologies, and created and promoted capacity building materials and activities to equip cultural heritage institutions with the necessary knowledge and skills for wider reuse of their 3D cultural assets.
Project goals
- Deliver high-quality 3D digital cultural-heritage assets across domains by engaging existing datasets from partner collections.
- Demonstrate and foster the reuse of these 3D assets—ranging across domains such as education, tourism, museums, gaming, arts, conservation and heritage-management.
- Deploy AI / machine-learning / semantic technologies and tools to enhance accessibility, shareability and reuse of 3D assets
- Build a 'Community of Practice' around 3D heritage asset reuse.
- Enrich the offer of 3D digital cultural heritage assets
