EXCENTRIC aims to empower organisations in the European Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI) to develop, adopt and integrate collaborative, data-driven tools that support smarter digital operations. It tackles the limited use of data in experience-driven sectors—live music, festivals, theatre and museums—which create value through intangible, audience-centric cultural experiences.
The project develops and implements a collaborative data practice through four sector-specific and two cross-sectoral pilots. By co-designing, testing and equipping organisations with smart, operations-oriented data infrastructure and tools, EXCENTRIC enables data-informed innovation in programming, pricing, resource management and audience engagement.
The project involves the creative workforce in shaping tools aligned with their skills, needs, and workflows. It builds organisational capacity, fosters data literacy and encourages the long-term adoption and adaptation of digital tools to ensure sustained innovation beyond the project's lifecycle.
At the policy level, EXCENTRIC will generate evidence-based recommendations for advancing digital transformation, using insights and metrics derived from the pilots to support scalable, sector-relevant innovation.
